Experiential Salespeople Profiling (ESP)

Please visit our Sales Training page for an introduction to Experiential Profiling for Salespeople

Teamworking Personality Profiling

The system has been developed specifically to give people the skills and disciplines to improve their dynamic and interactive effectiveness when working in a team.

Its purpose is NOT TO label or pigeon- hole people - the profiling is part of the process, not an end in itself. Between them, the eleven Personality Types in the system identify:

• all the key skills, attitudes and disciplines of a competent team player

• all the common mistakes made that typify poor teamworking

• how people should behave to be effective team players

• what people should do to help others be effective team players

It works by people, in a controlled environment, experiencing and observing the teamworking behaviour of each other. The experiencing requires reflection and self analysis and the observing requires honest and perceptive feedback.

Participants are taught subliminally, as well as overtly, through repetitious exposure to all the symptoms of good and bad teamworking - by themselves and others - in a deliberately stress-free and very enjoyable environment. (each workshop is designed only after consulting the people who will be participating)

The Process in a Bespoke Workshop

we all have a Bright side

1. The principles and ingredients (Share, Care and Communicate) of teamwork are presented and the Teamwork Behaviour checklist issued

2. The Personality Types Reference Card is issued and delegates individually reflect and make their first entry in their Personal Logs.

3. Delegates pair up to discuss each others’ profiles and make second entries into logs.

4. After tasks the ETPP Pack of Cards, Reference Card and Behaviour checklist are used to debrief

5. Team members update their Personal Logs and in subsequent tasks aim to consciously apply their personal developmental tactics

6. Team members are issued with their copies of the Guide Book and briefed how to USE this and all the other tools back on the job

we all have a dark side!

• a Personality Types Reference Card illustrating the six Bright Side types and the five Dark Side types designed as per the two examples above.

• the Teamwork Behaviour Checklist with the good / bad of Individual behaviour on one side and the good / bad for Team behaviour on the other

• the "ETPP Pack of Cards" to add an element of chance and fun to the serious business of debriefing

• a Teamworking Personality Profiling Personal Log, which comes in two standard forms both of which are flexible in application and use

• two BOOKS by Rick Whitehead: "Experiential Teamworking Personality Profiling" and "Share, Care Communicate" - so delegates can continually develop their teamworking effectiveness
