CREATIVE Thinking & PLANNING
anyone CAN be creative ..

..and..

.. anyone can DECIDE to be creative...
...but I'm just a normal person, not a creative genius or mad professor type, so how DO I do it?
the books “THINK ABOUT IT!” and “JANUS creative planning” show HOW TO - in your circumstances

JANUS is a Roman God with the gift to see both past and future simultaneously

looking backwards
from the FUTURE
JANUS is a VISUALISATION technique that
ANYONE can use to improve their circumstances
And It is easy to LEARN !
Study the first 2 chapters (see above) and that's it! They explain all the principles, with lots of exercises and examples and then chapter 3 presents five case studies which between them illustrate HOW Janus actually works.
The remaining chapters show how JANUS is easy to USE - in a variety of ways. You can choose the applications to prioritise. Chapter 9, for example includes JANUS Creative SELLING (ie helping people to buy using JANUS)
And JANUS takes no TIME! It is easy to apply and becomes a NEW WAY OF THINKING. Instead of doing an extra chore, you will find yourself INSTANTLY visualising and describing in your mind, positive outcomes - and the resulting image (eg a new convinced and admiring customer) will spur you on!
JANUS creative planning asks users to visualise and describe an IDEAL future and then look backwards asking "what MUST have Happened?"
HOWEVER, because it can be counter-intuitive, few people CAN do it automatically - you NEED to read the book, decide to think differently and then practice until you develop the HABIT of instantly visualising outcomes and thinking “what MUST have happened?” The answer to the tennis example below is obvious “when you think about it” and does only take a second to work out. BUT you have to get into the HABIT of thinking about and describing the end result first!
Anyone for tennis?
You are organising a singles tennis tournament and need to work out the scheduling based on how many games will need to be played. Start by describing the end result first; and then ask yourself what MUST have happened?
Once you know how many people have entered, it only takes one second to work out the number of games that MUST have been played. Try it with 142 entries. How long did it take you work out the answer is 141?
What MUST have happened? Working BACKWARDS the winner is the only person who hasn't lost a game; so there MUST have been 141 losers; so there MUST have been 141 games! This applies with any number of entries. Simply deduct 1. Go on - try it for yourself - with any number!

The THERAPEUTIC Benefits of JANUS
Using JANUS can be very motivational and inspiring as people realise what they CAN do. Chapter 5 The Therapeutic Benefits of JANUS - Mindfulness shows how to exploit this galvanizing effect.
Janus is a potent tool for people at any level, in any role, to help them meet challenges and solve problems - short, medium or long term; or recognise and realise opportunities; or set new goals for growth, profitability, competitiveness, change or......
